Nasar has been performing as a professional Elvis Tribute Artist in the UK since 2004. He began listening to Elvis Presley from the age of 10, developing a lifelong passion and admiration for the King of Rock and Roll.
He came into the limelight after entering an Elvis contest at the European Championships in Blackpool, which led to numerous opportunities to perform and demonstrate his talent as an Elvis Tribute Artist.
Nasar has appeared in local and national newspapers and tabloids and has performed live on Sky TV.
In 2007, he was selected as one of seven artists to represent the UK in Memphis, Tennessee, the birthplace of Elvis Presley.
Nasar travels throughout the UK performing his Elvis tribute shows for audiences at clubs, bars, restaurants and other venues.
He is available to perform at corporate events, weddings, private parties, birthdays and other special occasions.
THE SHOW
Nasar performs the music of Elvis Presley from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s through two distinct shows: The ’68 Comeback’ Show and The ‘Vegas Years’ Show.
Both shows can be tailored to suit the venue, audience and occasion.
Each show is typically 60–75 minutes in duration with a short interval between sets where required to allow for a costume change.
Nasar’s costumes are made by B&K Enterprises, the same company that made suits for Elvis himself, helping to maintain a high level of authenticity in every performance.
With a repertoire of close to 100 Elvis songs, Nasar can offer a varied selection spanning the different eras of Elvis’s career.
He can also adapt his vocal style to suit the appropriate Elvis era, helping each performance capture the character and sound of the period.
The repertoire includes many of Elvis’s familiar classics, from early hits such as Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes, Don’t Be Cruel, Devil in Disguise and Return to Sender, through to later favourites including A Little Less Conversation, Viva Las Vegas, Suspicious Minds, In the Ghetto, My Way, Burning Love and American Trilogy for a climactic ending.
EQUIPMENT
Nasar uses high-end Electro-Voice, RCF and Dynacord PA equipment to deliver clear, powerful sound for his Elvis tribute performances. Performances can also incorporate LED-lit backdrops and laser lighting, where appropriate, to enhance the atmosphere and visual impact of the show.
